A Must Read: Your Rights
and Responsibilities When You Move
The Mover's Liability for Loss and Damage
 

In order to provide protection for your belongings during the move we assume two levels of liability for the value of your goods that we transport.

Option 1 - Released Value
Under this option we assume liability no more than 60 cents per pound (1.32 per kilogram) per article. Loss or damage claims are settled based on the pound weight of the article multiplied by 60 cents.

Option 2 -Full Value protection
If you select to purchase full value protection, that are lost, damaged, or destroyed will be either repaired, replaced with like items, or cash settlement will be made for the current market replacement value regardless of the age of the lost or damaged item.

The cost for full value protection is $8.5 per $1,000 declared value, the minimum value declared must be not less than $5,000.

Under this option we are permitted to limit our liability for loss or damage to articles of extraordinary value, unless you specifically list these articles on the contract.

You can get full value protection with no deductible or you can reduce the cost of the coverage by opting for a deductible, $250 or$500.

If something has sentimental value and cannot be replaced, it is best to move that item youself.
